MEDICAL DISCLAIMER: Migraine Tracker AI is NOT a medical device. The information provided by this Application, including AI-generated insights and trigger analysis, is for informational and educational purposes only. It is not intended as a substitute for professional medical advice, diagnosis, or treatment. Always seek the advice of your physician or other qualified health provider with any questions you may have regarding a medical condition.
This Privacy Policy describes how Sergey Medvedev ("we", "us", "our", or "Developer") manages, collects, and protects the information of users ("User", "you") of the Migraine Tracker AI mobile application.
1. Types of Data We Process
We recognize the sensitive nature of health-related data. Our Application is designed to provide you with maximum privacy.
A. User-Provided Health Data (Sensitive Information)
You may voluntarily enter information about your health, including:
- Date and time of migraine attacks, pain intensity (0-10 scale).
- Physical symptoms (nausea, aura, light/sound sensitivity).
- Personal lifestyle triggers (sleep patterns, diet, stress levels, weather).
- Location of pain and notes regarding medications or relief methods.
LOCAL STORAGE POLICY: All the health data mentioned above is stored locally on your mobile device using a secure Android Room Database. We do not transmit, upload, collect on servers, share, or have access to this sensitive health data at any time. No health data is ever sent to third parties or used for advertising/profiling.
B. AI Analysis Data
When you use the "AI Trigger Analyzer" feature, the Application processes snippets of your log data to identify patterns.
- This processing is done using the Google Gemini API.
- Only anonymized, non-identifiable data points (e.g., aggregated patterns without personal identifiers) are sent for processing.
- We do not link your identity or any personal information to the data sent for AI analysis.
- By enabling and using the AI feature, you consent to the limited, anonymized processing of your log snippets by Google Gemini solely for generating personalized trigger insights, in accordance with Google's terms.
2. Automatically Collected Technical Information
For app optimization, crash reporting, analytics, and monetization, the Application collects certain non-personal, non-sensitive information through third-party services:
- Device Information: Model, OS version, Advertising ID (resettable), approximate location (if enabled for ads).
- Usage Statistics: Screen views, session duration, feature interactions (anonymized).
- Crash Logs: Technical data regarding application failures (via Firebase Crashlytics, anonymized).
Important: No sensitive health data is included in any automatically collected information or shared with third parties.
3. Third-Party Services
The Application integrates the following third-party services which may collect limited data in accordance with their own policies (no health data shared):
- Google AdMob: Displays ads using Advertising ID for personalization. Google may retain data per their policy (typically up to 18 months for ads).
- Google Firebase (Analytics & Crashlytics): Monitors performance, engagement, and crashes with anonymized data. Retention: up to 14 months (configurable).
- Google Play Billing: Handles premium subscriptions securely. We never access or store payment details.
- Google Gemini API: Processes anonymized AI requests (as described above).
You can find the Google Privacy Policy here: https://policies.google.com/privacy
4. Subscriptions and Payments
If you choose to purchase a subscription, the transaction is handled entirely by the Google Play Store. Your subscription is subject to the Google Play Terms of Service. You can manage or cancel your subscription at any time within your Google Account settings.
5. Data Retention and User Rights
Since health data is stored locally, you have absolute control over it:
- Deletion: Delete any entry, all data, or clear app cache/uninstall the app.
- Access: View all your data directly within the Application.
- Portability: Export your data (e.g., CSV export) for your own records.
Technical data from third-parties is retained per their policies; you can opt out of analytics/ads where possible in app settings or device settings.
6. Children's Privacy
Our Application is not directed at children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. If you are a parent and aware that your child has provided us with personal information, please contact us.
7. Security Measures
We take the security of your data seriously. Local data is protected by the Android operating system's security features (e.g., encryption at rest where supported, access restricted by device credentials). We rely on device-level protections such as PIN, fingerprint, or biometric authentication. We encourage you to enable these on your device.
8. Compliance with Laws
We comply with applicable data protection laws, including GDPR (for EU users) and other relevant regulations, to the extent they apply to this app. All practices are designed to protect your privacy and align with Google Play policies.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by posting the new Privacy Policy in the app (via update prompt or settings) and updating the "Last Updated" date. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
